Yuri Gagarin, 1st person in space
Human Spaceflight became a reality 51 years ago on April 12, 1961, with the launch of a bell-shaped capsule called “Vostok 1.” The capsule was carrying Soviet Cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin, who took his place in history as the first human to leave the bounds of Earth and enter outer space.
Last year the entire class of the Spring 2012 Executive Program from Singularity University joined us in the celebration at Yuri's Night Los Gatos. Click here to read about our event.
